Patricia Beecham

After spending 37 years as a microbiologist/teacher in Etobicoke, Pat decided, upon retirement, to explore her artistic side. At the urging of some friends, she enrolled in a basic water colour class in the fall of 1998, and since then has enjoyed the creative process. She takes much of her inspiration from her West Coast background, exploring lighthouses, seas, skies and coastal landscapes. Among her other favourite topics are florals, Ontario landscapes and animals (especially cats).

You can often find her paintings on exhibition at the Orillia Museum, the Opera House, Zephyr Art, Couchiching Medical Centre, and the White Lions Tea Room.

She accepts commissions for paintings of buildings, scenes and animals.

Pat enjoys playing bridge, music, theatre, gardening, photography, and travel, with her husband, Noel Cooper. She has 5 stepchildren and five grandchildren. You may have recognized her as a judge the provincial and National “Reach for the Top” championships.

She works from her home in Bayshore Village.
